About Us

Be The Real You was created from my real life, not from a business plan, but from struggle, survival, and learning to accept myself.

I’ve lived with dyspraxia my whole life, and for the last six years I’ve also battled anxiety and depression. Growing up, I always felt different. I struggled with things that seemed easy for everyone else — coordination, organisation, confidence, social situations. I was judged, misunderstood, and often made to feel like I wasn’t trying hard enough.

But the truth is, I was trying harder than most people ever realised.

Dyspraxia isn’t always obvious. Anxiety doesn’t show up on the outside. Depression doesn’t always look like sadness. A lot of what I’ve dealt with has been invisible — a hidden fight in my own head while still trying to function in everyday life.

There were times I felt not good enough. Not capable enough. Not “normal” enough

Living with hidden challenges taught me something powerful:

Not every struggle can be seen.

Not every disability looks the same.

And not every strong person looks strong.

For years, I tried to mould myself into who I thought I should be. The version that would fit in. The version that wouldn’t make life awkward for others. But over time, through a lot of difficult moments, I started to realise something:

The version of me that survived all of that — that is the real me.

And that version deserves to be seen.

That’s where Be The Real You was born.

This brand is for anyone who has ever felt different.

For anyone who has been misunderstood.

For anyone living with dyspraxia, anxiety, depression, or any visible or hidden disability.

For people who are quietly fighting battles nobody else sees.

It’s a reminder that you do not have to hide who you are.

You do not have to apologise for how your brain works.

You do not have to shrink yourself to make others comfortable.

You are not broken.
You are not less.
You are enough exactly as you are.

Be The Real You isn’t just clothing.

It’s a message.
It’s a movement.
It’s permission to stand in your truth — even when it feels uncomfortable.

From someone who’s still learning every day,

You’re not alone.

With Lots of Love

Paul
